Fiji Fashion Week (FJFW), under Fashion Week Limited (FWL) since 2009, serves as a philanthropic platform led by Managing Director Ellen Whippy-Knight. Celebrating its 18th anniversary in 2025, FJFW has propelled local designers onto the global stage, fostering a thriving fashion industry in Fiji through premier events and career opportunities. Beyond Fiji, FJFW has facilitated Fashion Weeks in Port Moresby, the Solomon Islands, and Samoa, while also supporting Pacific diaspora in launching shows worldwide.
Internationally recognized as a "Founding Member" of the Commonwealth Fashion Council, FJFW, and Ellen Whippy-Knight's leadership have garnered acclaim, including attending prestigious events like the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange at Buckingham Palace. Ellen's initiatives, such as the Fashion Council of Fiji and the Fijian Fashion Foundation, demonstrate a commitment to education and industry growth. Through workshops and sponsorships, FJFW promotes fashion education and supports emerging talent like Laisiasa Davetawalu, pursuing a Bachelor of Fashion and Design in Sydney with the Foundation's backing.
