Our Guest Speakers:


Hon. Lenora Salusalu Qereqeretabua.

Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs & External Trade and Deputy Speaker.

Hon. Qereqeretabua is the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, a position she has held since May 2023.

In addition to her ministerial role, she serves as the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Fiji, where she supports the Speaker in overseeing parliamentary proceedings and upholding legislative order.


Dr Lice Vaniqi

Principal Medical Officer at Nadi Maternity, with more than 10 years of experience dedicated to women’s health. A Gender-Based Violence Master Trainer and passionate advocate, actively working to strengthen awareness, prevention, and survivor-centered care. Facilitator and trainer for Emergency Obstetrics and Gynecology programs in the Western Division, supporting capacity building for healthcare professionals.

Serves as a part-time tutor for Obstetrics and Gynecology for Year 3 and Year 4 medical students at the University of Fiji. Actively engages in community outreach and awareness programs across villages, business houses, hotels, and schools and also in collaboration with the Fiji Cancer Society team focusing on cancer awareness and gender-based violence education.

Graduated with a MBBS degree in 2009

Postgraduate diploma in Public Health in 2019

Masters in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2024

Originally from Savusavu, with maternal links to Gau, and a proud mother of three children—two daughters aged 18 and 16, and a 7-year-old son.


Sister Karolina Tamani

Sister Karolina Tana is an experienced nurse with over 30 years of service in Fiji’s health system. Trained at Lautoka Hospital, she began her career at CWM before working across major hospitals in Lautoka, Suva and Labasa. Her clinical background spans midwifery, community health and theatre nursing, giving her a broad and practical understanding of patient care at every stage.

Karolina has developed particular expertise in cervical screening and is recognised as a skilled trainer in this field. Over the past four years, she has served as Clinical Nurse Manager with the Fiji Cancer Society, where she has played a key role in strengthening screening programs and supporting early detection initiatives. Across her career, she has witnessed and contributed to the shift from conventional methods to more advanced, technology-driven approaches to cervical screening, ensuring women in Fiji receive safer, more effective care.
